Tecnology with a twist for Auburn’s downtown project

Special, new-fangled storm-water retention vaults, part of the upcoming Promenade project that will result in the reconstruction of South Division Street, arrived this week and were stored on the old Marvel lot.

The vaults will handle water that infiltrates the porous concrete street surface.

“Nope, never seen anything like ‘em,” said a passing construction worker. “They’re part of the new green-technology construction.”
