Domino’s opened its 13,000th store worldwide in Auburn on Tuesday.
The pizza giant celebrated the milestone with a grand opening hosted by the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce at the new store, 4025 A St. SE.
In honor of the opening, Domino’s presented a $13,000 check to the local chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
At the ceremony were Auburn Domino’s franchisees Greg and Kenra Keller; and key Domino’s executives, including Patrick Doyle, president and CEO.
“The tremendous store growth worldwide is a testament to the continued success of our 55-year- old brand,” Doyle said. “Domino’s has opened 3,000 stores across the globe over the past four years, making the story of store growth one of the many phenomenal elements of the brand’s strength.”
“I have been a proud Domino’s franchisee for 31 years in the Seattle area,” Greg Keller said. “I’m so honored that this milestone store will be in our community, serving as a symbol of the great success of this global brand.”
The new Auburn store features the pizza theater design, which includes a comfortable lobby, open-area viewing of the food preparation process and the ability to track carryout orders electronically on a lobby screen. The store also features energy-efficient electric bikes and a Domino’s DXP delivery vehicle.
