KSD to host Nov. 19 workshop on streamside property

The King Conservation District hosts a free workshop for stream and lakeside landowners on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Muckleshoot Library, Auburn Enumclaw Road SE, Auburn.

The workshop, Beautify & Care for Your Streamside Property, runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Learn from Adam Jackson, a native plant and restoration expert, how to protect and beautify properties along streams, lakes and wetlands. An optional educational creek walk follows from 1- 2 p.m.

Topics include:

• Minimizing pollution runoff on your property

• Controlling invasive weeds

• Utilizing native plants for wildlife habitat and erosion control

• Adding value and beauty to your yard naturally

• Learning about environmental regulations that impact your property
