Ruth Mary (McDaniel) Ehle

Ruth died on April 18, 2013 at the age of 87. She was born February 21, 1926 to Alfred and Sarah McDaniel in Auburn, WA. She Graduated from Auburn High School in 1944 as class Valedictorian. Following High School Ruth began working in various secretarial jobs including The Army Depot where GSA stands today and for the Washington State Senator Dayton Witten. She married Howard G. Ehle on August 28, 1948. The two made their home in Auburn and over the span of 65 years built a happy & contented life together. Besides being a dedicated wife and mother she was a life-long member of the Auburn First United Methodist Church where she actively served in numerous roles and on a variety of committees. Ruth was an avid reader. She enjoyed camping & bonfires, but her greatest enjoyment was to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her loving family members: husband, Howard; daughter, Diane Ehle; son and daughter-in-love, Les & Julie Ehle; daughter and son-in-love, Ellen & Henry Cook; and two beloved granddaughters, Kasey Rutledge and Alexandra Ehle. Ruth also leaves many nieces and nephews in the surrounding area. A celebration Memorial of Ruth’s life will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Auburn First United Methodist Church at 1:00 in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations can be sent to the Auburn First United Methodist Church.
