Kim Semsen
Kim Semsen passed away January 31, 2016, after a long battle with illness. She was 60 years old.
She will be remembered for her green thumb, apple pie, and mile-wide independent streak. Her greatest joy, however, was her daughter Melanie, for whom Kim was the biggest cheerleader.
Kim honorably served in the Army as a young woman, and later worked for the Social Security Administration for more than twenty years. She was honored with SSA’s highest award, the Commissioner’s Citation, in 2009.
She is survived by her father, Jim Semsen of Auburn, brothers Lee (Patti) Semsen of Richland, WA, and Walt (Kerry) Semsen of Twain Harte, CA, and daughter Melanie Locke of Maple Valley.
There will be an Open House and celebration of life Monday, February 15 from 2-4pm at the William C. Warren Building at Veteran’s Park in Auburn (411 E St NE). In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Humane Society of the US.
