Raymond McBride
Raymond McBride passed away on April 20, 2014 at the age of 79. He was born in Spokane, Washington on February 6, 1935 to parents Anne Devenere and Raymond McBride. He was raised in Seattle and spent summers in Spokane. He lived in Seattle until he turned 72 when he moved to Auburn and enjoyed the rest of his life as a resident of Auburn Meadows Senior Living. He always spoke of how blessed and fortunate he was to live there, the many friends he made, and how warm and caring the staff was.
Even though he was wheelchair bound, as a young man he enjoyed weekly Bingo outings, horse races at Longacres, and loved watching the Seattle Sonics. Later in life he enjoyed the races at Emerald Downs and watching his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers.
He is survived by his sister, Yvonne Lowery, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and by his dearest friend Laura O’Neil, the woman he loved.
Memorial Service will be held at Auburn Meadows Senior Living Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 9:30am with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn at 11:00am.
