Norman Edward Henke

Norman Edward Henke, son of Edward Henke and Elfrieda Henke, was born June 19, 1939 in Devils Lake, North Dakota and passed peacefully August 4th, 2013 in Auburn, Washington. Norm battled with Dementia for twenty one years and is at peace now.

He is survived by his wife, Connie (Richards) Henke, children Carmen Henke-Sorensen, Darren Henke (Kristin), Dana Henke (Susie), Brandon Henke (Penny), Aimee Evans (Jake) and Noah Smith (Bonnie), nine grandchildren: Kylee, Kaitlin, Marcus, Briana, Mackenzie, Elle, Mitchell, Dylan and Skyler. He is also survived by his siblings Clayton Henke and Vernice Johnston from North Dakota. Normy loved his little companion dog Teddy.

Norm served in the North Dakota National Guard and moved to Washington to work for Holland Auto Rebuild. He then worked for and later owned Hoyt Auto Rebuild. He was a well respected businessman, a super grandpa, father and a volunteer at Relay for Life, Auburn Days and the Santa Parade.

The family would like to thank the caregivers that made Norm’s journey safer, healthier and happier.

A memorial to celebrate Norm’s life is August 7th at Messiah Lutheran, 410 “H” St NE off 4th St NE, in Auburn at 2pm.
