Esther Lily Bishop

Esther Lily Bishop passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on October 24, 2015.

Esther was born on May 31, 1919 in Selby, South Dakota. She was the 8th of 13 children in her family. The family moved to Timber Lake, South Dakota in her early years where she graduated from High School in 1937.

Later she married and lived there until 1954. In 1954 they left Timber Lake and headed for Washington settling in Auburn. In 1958 she went to work at Boeing and retired in 1983 after a long career in the Finance Department.

She loved her dolls, enjoyed bowling, gardening, golf, playing the organ and making a little money at the casino.

She was preceded in death by her parents Christian and Katharina Haefner, 12 siblings and her daughter, Andrea Powell.

She is survived by 3 sons, David Alborg (Sue) Gary Alborg (Kay) and Larry Knodel. 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

Services were held at Washington Memorial Park, 1pm on October 30th.
