Hilda Christina Speerstra, 92, passed away on July 6, 2009 in Auburn, WA.She was born on May 30, 1917 in Ravenna, NE. Hilda was a homemaker and also worked as a Caregiver for Catholic Community Services, retiring in 2001. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Y.M.C.A. Hilda enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening and swimming. She was preceded in death by her parents; Carl & Greta and her sister; Marcella. Hilda is survived by her son; Gary Speerstra of Beaverton, OR, daughters; Beverly Barnes of Auburn, WA and Karla Smith of Vancouver, WA, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.A Memorial Service was held at Zion Lutheran Church in Auburn, WA. on July 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with burial following at Washington Memorial Park in SeaTac, WA.
