Duncan Alexander Bonjorni
Duncan Alexander Bonjorni was born August 30, 1927 to Louis A. Bonjorni and Lily A. (Ford) Bonjorni in Ellensburg, WA. He passed away March 31, 2014 in Gig Harbor, WA. Duncan attended school in Ellensburg graduating in 1945. He joined the U.S. Navy and was discharged in 1946. He then attended and graduated from what is now Central Washington University, with a degree in Education. He taught in Richland, WA then pursued his dream of becoming an attorney at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He practiced law for many years in Seattle, Kent and Auburn, WA. Duncan was always proud of the community of Auburn. He was also fond of Central Washington University and was an active member of the alumni board for many years.
Duncan was preceded in death by his two older brothers, August and Robert. He leaves behind his stepchildren, Pamela Saasen of Gig Harbor WA, Janet Hayden of Lakewood, WA and James Hayden (Peggy) of Boulevard, CA. He also leaves three brothers, Edward Bonjorni (Kathy) of Citra, FL, Lawrence Bonjorni (Janet) of Yakima, WA and Jesse Bonjorni (Pat) of Vancouver, WA. He had four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a caring father, a good brother and friend, and he is missed.
In accordance with Duncan’s wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service. If desired, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
