Benefit of pot sales

Regarding Vic Stevens’ letter to the editor (“Taxes from pot sales may ease burden,” Auburn Reporter, Jan. 27) about the tax revenue generated from the sales of marijuana from The Stashbox.

I was absolutely dumbfounded to learn just how much is generated from only one shop. At $14,276 a week, that is a huge amount in one year. Not to mention that there is more than one pot shop in Auburn. So with this exorbitant amount of money, there is no need to have to impose the $20 to our vehicle registration tags.

I have to agree with Mr. Stevens.
