Retain Mayor Lewis, the qualified candidate

We have lived in Auburn all our adult lives – some 70 years. During this time, we have seen many people ask for leadership offices in the City of Auburn. Too many times, they have not taken the time to prepare themselves for successfully fulfilling all the requirements to be mayor of our city.
“Intentions” are not enough to prepare a person to be a leader with a background to fill the office of mayor.
The August edition of the monthly paper put out by the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce carried the intentions and ideas of the candidates running for mayor. All were well-intentioned citizens of our city, but most had not put in the months and years of time and training to be the “successful” eader of Auburn for the next four years. I arrived at the conclusion after reading their answers to the questions put to each candidate.
Saying one wants to be mayor does not mean they are ready or prepared to be our mayor. To be ready means they have seriously prepared themselves for the office they are seeking.
For some 25 years, we have watched Pete Lewis work hard for Auburn in many capacities. Pete has the background we need to run the office of mayor for the next for years.
Vote for Pete.
