Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opens in Auburn

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, specializing in fast-casual barbecue fare, officially opened Wednesday in Auburn.

“Dickey’s is a new concept and is something that the community of Auburn has never had before,” said local franchise owner Gary Depping, who will run the location along Supermall Way with his wife, Megan. “We are extremely excited to open and begin serving great barbecue.”

“Washington is a great market for barbecue and Dickey’s is a unique concept there,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “I am excited for Gary and can’t wait for this store to open.”

Dickey’s Barbecue offers a quality selection of signature meats, home-style sides and tangy barbecue sauce.

Founded in 1941, Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants began in Dallas. Dickey’s can be found in 36 states and more than 200 locations nationwide.
