Early morning shooting at Memo’s wounds two

Two men were shot in the early morning hours of Feb. 25 at Memo’s restaurant in the 1200 block of Auburn Way North.

At about 2:20 a.m., according to Auburn Police, one of the men was shot in a thigh and was taken to a hospital in serious condition the other was shot in a hand.

Both men, described as being in their mid 20s, survived and were later released from the hospital.

Police have not released information about the circumstances that led to the shootings.

“We currently have no suspects,” said Kolby Crossley, Public Information Officer for the Auburn Police Department. “There was a red car seen leaving from the scene. We do not know if the person in the car was involved in the shooting, but we do know that they were there.

“It would help a lot if someone could help us ID who was driving that vehicle,” Crossley added.

Memo’s is a 24-hour business so it was open at the time of the shooting.
