Jonathan Kosaka, a homeschool student, recently served as a page in the state House of Representatives.
Rep. Christopher Hurst, D-Enumclaw, sponsored Kosaka, the son of Kongkwan and Mark Kosaka of Auburn.
Pages perform a wide variety of responsibilities, from presenting the flags to distributing amendments on the House floor. In addition to contributing to the efficient operation of the Legislature, pages receive daily civics instruction, draft their own bills, and participate in mock committee hearings.
Kosaka is interested in mixed martial arts and mobile technology. He has played guitar, bass guitar, piano and ukulele.
