The Auburn Police Department hosted its first Blue Auburn Resilience Pickleball Tournament, an event where police officers and community members competed on the pickleball courts to raise funds for the wellness of Auburn police employees.

The tournament was held Sept. 13-14 and benefited the Blue Auburn Resilience Foundation, which is overseen by APD. According to Angel Ogando, APD Police Wellness Program Designer, Blue Auburn Resilience is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to ensuring the holistic wellness of all Auburn Police Department employees.

Ogando said that some officers from various departments participated, as well as retired officers, but the event was open to everyone in the community.
