Some people cannot afford to be without their computers or pay an expensive repair bill.

Matt Rubly understands this. The Auburn man recently opened his own home-based shop, PC Repair Nation (pcrepairnation.com), at 1583 8th St. NE, Unit A, to serve low-income computer users in the area.

“As one of my (IT) teachers said, ‘It’s nice to put on a Superman’s cape and save the day,’” Rubly said of the purpose behind his business. “Many (private computer repair) businesses have money in mind, but they don’t have the customer in mind.”

After training and working in the computer repair trade, Rubly decided to run his own shop.

He specializes in all types of laptop and desktop computer repairs, from diagnostics to virus scanning, data migration to optimization, and hardware and software repair and replacement for Windows and Linux operating systems.

Rubly makes on-site, in-home and remote calls.

Rubly also recycles old computers and either sells discounted or fully-restored computers to those in needs.
