Big Lots plans grand opening of remodeled Kent store

Nov. 9 at West Meeker Street

Big Lots will celebrate the grand opening of 12 newly remodeled stores throughout the Seattle area on Saturday, Nov. 9, including its Kent location, 1301 W. Meeker St.

These stores will reflect a new format, which is part of a broader initiative to reposition the brand as a community retailer offering trustworthy value and friendly service, according to a company news release. As part of the celebration, Ohio-based Big Lots will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the 12 stores at 8:45 a.m. Plus, the first 50 shoppers entering each store on Nov. 9-10 will receive a reusable shopping bag filled with tasty treats from Big Lots.

Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Big Lots, Inc. is a discount retailer operating approximately 1,400 stores in 47 states.
