EZ Wheel makes inroads with multi-service center in Auburn

Eran Zantkovsy has rolled out a new wheel and tire business

Determined to bring back old-school customer service and offer a well-stocked inventory under one roof, Eran Zantkovsky wanted to open his kind of tire and wheel center in Auburn.

Something different, but still based on basic principles.

“Everything we do is for the customer,” said Zantkovsky, owner and CEO of EZ Wheel, a 25,000-square-foot, one-stop service center for cars, trucks and other vehicles. “We make sure the customer is happy and we make sure we appreciate them.”

Business has been brisk, so brisk in fact that Zantkovsky and his staff introduced tires to the trade about six months ago.

“We’re rocking, we’re doing well,” he said.

EZ Wheel stocks more than 5,800 wheels and tread of many makes. EZ Wheel does business with 215 dealerships in the Northwest, from Portland to Bellingham.

The store, which supports a 3,000-square-foot showroom, provides a wide range of services, including shocks and struts, alignments and oil changes.

“The probability of us doing it here is much higher than any other shop,” Zantkovsky said. “Every place else they will have to order it, where we stock our own,”

Zantkovsky had been in the car business for 17 years, but he eventually sold his operation and pursued other interests. He and “30 other guys” established EZ Wheel in 2009.

The reviews have been good, Zantkovsky said.

“We’re local people and we want to keep our business local, too,” he said of the center’s convenient location, just off the Valley Freeway in Auburn.
