Pacific Ballroom Dance embraces new studio

Pacific Ballroom Dance recently celebrated the opening of its new studio, located in an Auburn business park near the SuperMall, at 1604 15th St. SW, Suite 109

Community members, foundations and businesses generously provided funds to renovate the space, making it suitable for the dance program. PBD staff also is grateful to the many volunteers who shared labor and expertise.

PBD, a nonprofit organization, was established 10 years ago. The community organization provides youth access to a ballroom dance program. The program’s parents and volunteers strive to instill in young people strong service values, development of leadership and team building skills.

In addition to community performances, PBD’s formation teams compete locally and at the annual United States DanceSport Championships held in Utah. This year, the Standard Formation Team was ranked second in the nation and the Latin Formation Team was third.
