Summer time is here. It is a time to get out and enjoy the community, and let me tell you Auburn has a lot of activities going on all summer long.

Just think about what a great day it would be to take a Sunday morning and start at the Farmers market and then just take a walk all around town and look at the cool art work. Do not forget to check out the park benches, they are art also.

I tell you we just have an awesome community. For the last 11 years, I have taken an active role in some of the community events. I have gotten to know the outstanding people of Auburn and especially our mayor, Nancy Backus. As I was getting to know her, I kept asking myself, what is her deal with loving Auburn so much? So, I took a good look around and saw what she has been saying. Yes, we have an outstanding community.

So I ask you to keep one thing in mind this summer. As you are enjoying all Auburn has to offer, just think of how much more awesome it is going to be when we re-elect Mayor Nancy Backus.

And if you want to see the biggest smile around, when you are at one of the many events where you will see her, stop her and ask her why she loves Auburn, and then just check out the passion.
