Get out the vote, back Backus for mayor

A few years ago, I supported a 10-month local city campaign. The candidate lost by two votes in the general election, and this required a county recount process. All in all, at the end, my candidate lost by four votes after the recount.

Could my candidate have won? Don’t know, but it behooves a “get out the vote” awareness in the community that we live in.

If, in your mind and action, you prefer a specific candidate, now is the time to fill out that “mail-in ballot.” Post it before the deadline, and you’ll be assured of making your vote count. I voted this week and am very proud of my selection for mayor. Vote Nancy Backus for the right balance and focus for our City government. Nancy will bring a breath of fresh air to the City of Auburn, I guarantee it.
