No on I-1000

As a citizen of this great nation, I am concerned for the state and direction of our society. Our government is trying to pass an initiative (I-1000) that will require doctors to aid patients in committing suicide.

As a citizen of this great nation, I am concerned for the state and direction of our society. Our government is trying to pass an initiative (I-1000) that will require doctors to aid patients in committing suicide.

They will be allowed to do this without alerting the family of the patient and without a psychological examination. This can all be done in the name of mercy and dignity. However, no killing is merciful, and no human being has the right to decide the value of another man’s life.

I fear that not only will this end the lives of those who choose to die, but that it will lead to a larger distortion of human life. I fear that the passing of this law will lead to the legalization of euthanasia and infanticide.

In short, I fear for life in the United States. I fear that our rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are being snatched from us. I fear for the lives of my grandparents, my parents, my siblings, my children, and myself.

I beg you to take an active stand against I-1000 and help America remain the land of the free and the brave. Without life, there can be no freedom. Please help us fight to have this law turned down.
