Sense of privilege

The main point of Jerry Galland’s letter to the editor (Auburn Reporter, Oct. 2) was not addressed in the response by David Hill (Auburn Reporter, Oct. 9), which was that the firefighters were illegally and aggressively panhandling on a public thoroughfare and doing so without consequence.

I share Mr. Galland’s sentiments and add that there are too many in all levels of government that behave as though they are above the law and can do as they please.

Hillary Clinton’s violation of the laws, regulations, and State Department policy and Obama’s lame attempts to legitimize his extra-constitutional actions are two notable examples.

I believe that a lot of people are getting disgusted with the hypocrisy and sense of privilege in the behavior of public servants.
