Auburn Parks gearing up for Summer Sounds & Comcast Cinema Series

The Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Department – along with its corporate sponsors Comcast, Pierce County, MultiCare and Polygon Northwest – offers the Summer Sounds & Comcast Cinema Series on Friday nights.

The series kicks off at Les Gove Park on Friday, July 25 with Pop Offs and a screening of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (PG-13). Food concessions, operated by Auburn’s Youth Council, will be available at the events for a nominal fee. Patrons can bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets.

THE SUMMER LINEUP

All concerts begin at 7 p.m. with the movies following at dusk.

Les Gove Park, 910 Ninth St. SE

Concert: The classic pop rock sound of The Pop Offs

Movie: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (PG-13)

• Friday, Aug. 1

Les Gove Park, 910 Ninth St. SE

Concert: Auburn On Stage! Finals

Movie: Hairspray (PG)

This event will also feature free child ID kits from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., provided by Auburn’s King Solomon Lodge #60

• Friday, Aug. 15

Sunset Park, 1306 – 69th St. SE @ Lakeland Hills

Concert: The lively swing rock sounds of The Raggedy Anns

Movie: Bee Movie (PG)

This event will also feature free child ID kits from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., provided by Auburn’s King Solomon Lodge #60
