Eleven inflatable rides, kids’ activities, live stage entertainment, mini golf, kids’ arts and craft booths, food concessions — sounds like kids’ paradise.
In Auburn, they call it KidsDay.
Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation is throwing the annual blast from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Les Gove Park, 1005 12th St. SE.
Back again are the popular electric go-karts, free face painting and a truck equipment display, all part of a day of free, fun-filled activities sure to keep any child entertained.
KidsDay’s primary audience is kids 4-11 years of age; however, there are lots of activities and entertainment options to keep younger and older kids amused.
This year’s event has a great lineup of stage entertainment, including Radio Disney’s Rockin’ Road Show, award-winning singer-songwriter Brian Vogan and the popular children’s band, Recess Monkey.KidsDay began in 1985 and has increased in popularity ever since. New entertainment and activities are added every year.
The park also features the popular new Discovery Playground, a spraypark, bocce courts and many more attractions. Parking is available in and around the park, with overflow parking at Grace Community Church and street parking surrounding the park.
Auburn’s KidsDay 2011 is coordinated by the Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation, with help from Fred Meyer Stores, Valley Medical Center, Waste Management and Seattle Children’s. Media support courtesy of Radio Disney AM 1250.
