McGraw may have started slow, but his popularity moved into high gear a few years later, and has never slowed down. Songs like “Not a Moment Too Soon,” “My Next Thirty Years,” and “She Never Lets it Go to Her Heart” are a sampling of his 30 No. 1 hit singles on the Billboard Hot Country 100 chart.

Not only is McGraw a solo country music superstar, but he is also a superstar as a duo performer, and as an actor on the big screen.

In total, McGraw has received three Grammy Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards, and 10 American Music Awards.

McGraw is an equally accomplished actor. His first film was in 2004, “Friday Night Lights,” followed two years later by “Flicka,” then “The Kingdom” and “Four Christmases.” He costarred in “The Blind Side” with Sandra Bullock, and was featured in the 2011 release, “Country Strong” with Gwynneth Paltrow.

In January 2012, “Better Than I Used to Be” and “Felt Good on My Lips” were pre-release singles for album Emotional Traffic, two years after it was completed and delivered to his now former label.
