Rainbow Café welcomes the works of Walle and Magee on Monday, Oct. 1

For the Reporter

Poetry at the Rainbow Café presents the works of Connie Walle and Michael Magee on Monday, Oct. 1.

The program is from 7 to 9 p.m. at the café, 112 E. Main St.

Coffee and conversation follow readings. It is an open mic opportunity. The public is invited.

Walle and Magee will read poems from their newly published books by MoonPath Press. Walle flexes her poetic muscles in “What’s Left,” poems about the role of strong women while Magee’s “How We Move Toward Light” explores myths and urban legends.

Walle hosts Puget Sound Poetry Connection, founded Our Own Words, a teen poetry contest, and won an AMOCAT award from the City of Tacoma. She is a resident of University Place.

Magee is a prize-winning poet and playwright whose poems and plays have been published and produced in the U.S. and England.

The Rainbow Cafe, Striped Water Poets, the NorthWest Renaissance, Auburn Arts Commission, City of Auburn, and King County 4Culture make the program possible.
