Algona Days Town Festival returns to the park

The Algona Days Town Festival returns to Matchett Park on Friday and Saturday.

The Algona Days Town Festival returns to Matchett Park on Friday and Saturday.

Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday in the park, 402 Warde St.

The festival is free and open to the public.

There will be rides, arts and crafts, food booths and the Half Lion Brewery. The Brothers In Arms Motorcycle Club will be on hand.

10 a.m. – Parade down 1st Avenue

10 a.m.-6 p.m. – Inflatable toys; blue heron express train; vendors; roller skate demonstrations by the Rat City Rollergirls

10 a.m.-1 p.m. – Inflatable hamster balls

11 a.m. – Filipino American Community Dance Group

Noon – Wally and the Beavs Band

2:15 p.m. – Rat City Rollergirls derby match

4:30 p.m. – City of Algona Cakewalk
