AMBER CRATSENBERG

Jefferson

• Grade: Freshman.

• Sport: Swimming.

• Accomplishment: Cratsenberg went back-to-back, winning the 100 free, then immediately stepping onto the blocks again and winning the 500 free. Cratsenberg also was part of the victorious 200 medley and 400 free relay teams as the Raiders edged Tahoma in the SPSL North Division opener by a 95-90 score on Sept. 11.

• Favorite class: Photography.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: (Olympic gold-medal winner) Michael Phelps because he is the best swimmer in the world and I also swim, too. I would serve cheeseburgers and french fries because that’s my favorite dinner.

• Also noted: Cratsenberg aspires to make it to the 2012 Olympics and win a gold medal in the 50 free. She also is on the Valley Aquatic swim team.

MEGAN MCBRIDE

Auburn Mountainview

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Volleyball.

• Accomplishment: McBride dished out 21 assists and added eight kills on Sept. 10 in the Lions’ three-game sweep of White River, 25-20, 25-12, 25-14.

• Favorite class: Psychology.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: (Olympic gold-medal winner)

Michael Phelps and I would serve a buffet.

• Also noted: McBride, who has long been one of the area’s top volleyball players, has a full-ride scholarship to play at Oregon State University next year.

JEFF GOUVEIA

Auburn

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Football.

• Accomplishment: Gouveia rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-7 SPSL North win over Kentwood. With the win, the Trojans improved to 2-0 in league play and remained atop the North Division.

• Favorite class: Math.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: (Actress) Kim Kardashian. I would serve her anything she wants.

• Also noted: Gouveia loves being in Japanese club and insists he’d beat anyone in the video game Guitar Hero.

HANNAH MORSE

Auburn Mountainview

• Grade: Junior.

• Sport: Soccer.

• Accomplishment: Morse delivered a pair of goals on Sept. 11, helping the Lions upend Clover Park, 4-0, and remain unbeaten in SPSL 3A play.

• Favorite class: AP U.S. History.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Ryan Gosling (Noah from The Notebook) and would serve steak and potatoes.

• Also noted: Morse hopes to attend Pepperdine University and play soccer after high school. She also sports a 4.0 GPA and plays basketball, track and lacrosse along with soccer.
