Auburn City Councilmember Larry Brown running for 2nd term

Auburn City Councilman Larry Brown is running for re-election, according to the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission.

Brown, who began his first term on Jan 1, 2018, is the president of the Washington State Labor Council, which represents over 550,000 union workers throughout the state of Washington.

He has worked in the aerospace industry for over 40 years and worked for the union for 17 years.

Brown has served on the board for Communities in Schools of Auburn and the Board of Trustees for Green River College. As a member of the King County Airport Roundtable Advisory Board (Boeing Field), he works to protect the airport to ensure its continued operations. He also serves on the Advisory Committee for the Department of Employment Security. Brown serves on the Washington State Workforce Board.

Brown is married to Donna, with two grown children, Cara and Gregory, and four grandchildren. He is an avid fan and a season ticket holder of the Seattle Seahawks.
