Auburn joins Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Washington

Auburn police paricipated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Washington last Friday.

The relay, which starts at the Idaho-Washington state line, passes through Auburn each year en route to its final destination, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, site of the Washington State Special Olympics opening ceremony and games. The annual campaign raises funds and public awareness for Special Olympics programs.

Hundreds of law enforcement officers participated in the relay, helping to raise more than a half-million dollars annually for Special Olympics Washington.
