Auburn Mountainview blanks Enumclaw 4-0, Riverside tops Federal Way 11-6, Auburn falls to Kentridge 11-3 | Baseball

Lion pitchers Brandon Williams and Steven Johnson combined to throw a two-hit, 4-0 shutout win over South Puget Sound League 3A rival Enumclaw on Thursday.

Williams pitched five innings, giving up just one hit and striking out seven while walking five. Johnson came into the game in the sixth to earn the save.

Williams, who will play for Washington State University next year, added a home run and three RBIs offensively for Mountainview. Johnson pitched in with an RBI and Skyler White had a double and a run scored.

Marcus Madden was tagged with the loss for the Hornets.

The Lions’ non-league game against Auburn scheduled for today has been postponed due to rain.

ELSEWHERE: The Auburn Riverside baseball team improved to 2-3 in league play with a 10-6 South Puget Sound League North 4A win over Federal Way on Thursday. Michael Sherwin went 3-of-5 from the plate with a home run and four RBIs to help the Ravens (4-5 overall) move past the Eagles (2-3 league, 4-4 overall). Taylor Maples added a home run and 3-of-3 hitting and Brandon Uhler had two RBIs and a double. Michael Rucker was awarded the win for his six innings of work, giving up five hits and striking out nine. The Eagles Elliot Morris was tagged with the loss… Despite home runs from Marshall Klontz and Kyle Davis, the Auburn Trojans fell 11-3 to Kentlake on Thursday. Klontz was hit with the loss for his three innings of work, with Kentlake’s Ryne Shelton earning the win. Justin Burns added 2-of-3 hitting for the Trojans who had six hits and one error in the game. Kentlake had 11 hits and an error.
