Auburn offers disaster preparedness training

September is Disaster Preparedness Month and the City of Auburn Emergency Management wants to help residents get prepared.

September is Disaster Preparedness Month and the City of Auburn Emergency Management wants to help residents get prepared.

City officials invite the public to join them for one of the following Disaster Preparedness on a Limited Budget training sessions at Auburn City Hall, 25 W. Main St:

• Thursday, Sept. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

• Thursday, Sept. 17, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

• Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Participants will learn about local hazards and discover simple – and affordable – steps they can take to get prepared. Sessions include discussions about what residents have already done to get prepared

No pre-registration is required. Classes are free.
