Auburn Police blotter | Feb. 15

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Feb. 2 and 10:

Feb. 2

Extortion: 8 a.m., 1111 4th St. NE. Somebody tried to extort an undisclosed something out of someone else.

Theft from car:: 12:30 p.m., 31900 block of 104th Avenue Southeast. Somebody stole a wheel and a tire from a man’s rental car.

Theft: 3:45 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A pickpocket, or pickpockets, lifted two wallets from two unfortunates at the Outlet Collection mall.

Vandalism: 5 p.m., 1102 Auburn Way S. Police busted a man for hurling rocks at passing motor vehicles.

Property theft: 7 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. While a woman was shopping at the Outlet Collection, somebody purloined her purse.

Feb. 6

Theft: 7:48 a.m., 521 Auburn Way S. Police arrested some guy for theft and for possessing stolen property.

Theft: 12 p.m., 700 block of West Main Street. Somebody stole someone else’s gun.

Theft: 12 p.m., 3700 block of H Street Northeast. An unknown bad person stole rent checks from the dropbox of an apartment complex.

Agency assist: 2:26 p.m., 1425 Outlet Collection Way SW. Detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Task Force asked Auburn Police for help after they’d arrested a man at Coastal Farm & Ranch Supply for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Feb. 9

Commercial burglary: 3:32 a.m., 1038 Outlet Collection Way SW. A man broke into the AT&T store overnight.

Feb. 10

Out with you! 2:42 a.m., 915 26th St. NE. A man acted out of line at Phoenix Rising Shelter, whereupon staff invited him to sample the outdoors, and stay there.

Theft: 6:15 a.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. Somebody stole a woman’s purse while she was at the Muckleshoot Casino.

Bogus bucks: 6:55 p.m. 2402 Auburn Way S. A woman tried to cash a contrived check at the Muckleshoot Casino.
