Auburn Police blotter | June 21

The Auburn Police Department responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between June 11 and 17:

June 11

Felony harassment: 7:50 a.m., 1200 block of A Street Northeast. A man shoplifted items from a store and then whipped out a knife to prevent a witness from chasing him.

Robbery by firearm: 6:30 a.m. 30600 block of 112th Avenue Southeast. A man complained that somebody had stolen his vehicle from him at gunpoint.

Vandalism by citrus: 6:30 a.m., 1500 block of 72nd Street Southeast. Vandals pelted a home with oranges.

Property theft: 10:30 p.m., 1620 Perimeter Road SW. Suspects known only to themselves fraudulently paid for auto parts from the account of a business.

June 13

Fireworks: 11:25 a.m., 28900 block of 124th Avenue Southeast. Two Mountainview High School students blew up fireworks in the boys locker room, causing widespread panic among students, who believed they were gun shots. At least one student was injured while fleeing the school. The case has been forwarded to the city prosecutor’s office for possible prosecution.

Possession of stolen vehicle: 11:51 p.m., 1200 M St. SE. The driver of a stolen vehicle ran away from the vehicle but a police dog nosed him out, whereupon police busted him.

June 14

Theft: 4 a.m., 11600 block of Southeast 388th Place. A prowler prowled numerous vehicles.

Thief: 4 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A thief broke into the cash box on a kid’s ride inside the Outlet Collection mall.

June 17

Vandalism: 2:50 p.m., 200 E Main St. Police arrested a woman for slashing the tires of her boyfriend’s vehicle.

Fight: 3:58 p.m., 111 E Main St. Two women got into a fight.
