Auburn Police blotter | Sept. 8

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Aug. 29 and Sept. 2:

Aug. 29

Controlled substance: 6:57 a.m., 902 W. Main. Police arrested two guys for possession on the Interurban Trail.

Vandalism: Overnight, 1005 37th St. SE. A man left his excavator at a job site at Mt. Baker Middle School, and under cover of darkness some yahoo, or yahoos in criminal confederation, smashed out its windows and tried to break its mirror.

Felony eluding: 10:46 a.m., 3300 West Valley Highway N. An officer tried without success to stop a vehicle that was exceeding the speed limit and passing traffic on a blind curve.

Strong armed robbery: 4:33 p.m., 918 Auburn Way S. Somebody robbed Baskin-Robbins.

Aug. 30

Vandalism: 2:20 p.m., 1811 Howard Road SE. The estranged and demonstrably-irked wife of a transient Auburn man took up a brick and smashed it into his windshield.

Aug. 31

Burglary: Overnight, 6170 Terrace View Lane SE. A business reported the theft of miscellaneous items from a detached storage building.

Theft: Overnight, 512 23rd St. SE. Somebody stole a motorized Razor scooter from a yard.

Sept. 1

Trespassing: 7:15 a.m., 620 37th St. SE. Police told a couple found camping at Mt. Baker Middle School that said school was not the place for that sort of activity and they needed to beat feet.

Vandalism: Overnight, 1015 24th St. NE. Some rock chucker, or chuckers, damaged windows at Cascade Middle School.

Controlled substance: 12:01 p.m., 900 W. Main St. Police arrested a guy near the Interurban trail for injecting heroin into his arm.

Sept. 2

Arson: 9:14 a.m., 2840 Riverwalk Drive Southeast. Somebody set a City of Auburn storage facility ablaze.
