Incident began in Lakeland Hills

Auburn Police are looking for three suspects after a man was shot in the leg early Thursday trying to chase down the alleged vehicle prowlers.

The suspects were in a stolen grey 2006 Chevrolet Colorado and prowling cars on 62nd Loop Southeast in Lakeland Hills, according to Auburn Police Cmdr. Mike Hirman. A man in his 30s interrupted the prowlers at around 4 a.m. and chased them in his vehicle.

A few miles away, near Ballard Park, the suspects fired shots at the man, who was hit in the leg. Paramedics transported the man to Valley Medical Center in Renton with non-life threatening injuries, Hirman said.
