Starting Wednesday, Sept. 6, construction of the new sewer main on B Street NW will require a full-road closure for northbound and southbound traffic on B Street NW at 49th Street NW.

Access to the businesses and residents will be maintained during construction, however through traffic will not be allowed as the sewer main is extended across the street. The duration of the closure will last up to two days from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., however the work is weather dependent. Detour routes will be in place.

Access to destinations south of 49th Street NW will be routed along Auburn Way North to 37th Street NW and 42nd Street NW. Access to the residents on B Street NW north of 49th Street NW will be permitted to enter B Street to access their homes.

Please use caution and pay close attention to flaggers and construction sign directions.
