Traffic advisories: Road closure at 37th Street NE on Monday | UPDATE

On Monday, Oct. 9, the west leg of 37th Street NE/Auburn Way North will be closed for final paving.

The closure will be from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. The work is dependent on dry weather throughout the weekend to allow work on the adjacent B Street corridor to progress such that B Street can be utilized during the closure of 37th Street.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained, but delays should be expected. Please use caution and pay close attention to police officers, flaggers and construction sign directions.

Elsewhere

• On Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., construction related to the Auburn Medical Center project will require the closure of 1st Street NE from N Division Street to Auburn Avenue for street paving. The work is dependent on weather. Signed detour routes will be posted. Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction but delays should be expected.

• B Street Northwest between 37th Street NW and 49th Street NW will be closed to all traffic this weekend for paving of the northbound lane. Detour routes will be in place. The work is weather dependent and may be delayed if rain is in the forecast. Please use caution and pay close attention to flaggers and construction sign directions.

• Construction, which began Sept. 26, will continue through approximately Oct. 11 on South 277th Street and require lane restrictions at the intersection of Auburn Way North and South 277th Street. The right-turn-only lane for northbound vehicles from Auburn Way North to South 277th Street will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The work is dependent on weather. Signed detour routes will be posted on Auburn Way North and one flagged travel lane in each direction will be maintained on South 277th Street, but delays should be expected and alternate routes are advised. Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be open during construction activities.

• On Saturday, Oct. 7, construction on the north Auburn logistics development project by Santana Trucking will require alternating traffic in north- and south-bound directions of West Valley Highway at South 287th Street from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected.
