Blood spilled during road rage incident

A mid-morning episode of road rage between two men ended in bloodshed June 16, Kent police say, when the 43-year old Auburn party to the dispute shot the 33-year-old Shelton party as the latter was trying to climb into the former’s car.

Medics hurried the victim to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

According to Kent police, officers were en route to the 27000 block of 124th Avenue at about 7 a.m. in response to 911 calls when they learned that both men were still at the scene and the shooter was rendering medical aid to the man he had just wounded.

Medics responded and took over lifesaving efforts before hurrying the injured man to the hospital.

According to Kent police, the Auburn man allegedly told officers that the victim had just broken his car window and was trying to enter his vehicle when he shot him.

Officers learned at the scene that both men had called 911.

The investigation is ongoing.
