Bomb threats, vehicle arson | Auburn police blotter

The following is taken from the Auburn Police Department daily blotter. All told, there were 22 assaults, 26 vehicle thefts and nine burglaries reported in the blotter between Aug. 10 and Aug. 18.

Aug. 10

Assault: A woman was arrested for assaulting her ex-boyfriend on 116th Ave Southeast at 11:45 p.m.

Hit and run: A hit and run occurred on the 29700 block of 55th Avenue South at 2 p.m., and there is no indication Auburn police made an arrest in this case.

Vehicle theft: A vehicle was reported stolen from the 1100 block of Pike Street Northeast at 6:45 a.m.

Aug. 11

Controlled substance: At 7:13 p.m., Auburn police arrested a man for a controlled substance on East Main Street.

Burglary: A non-residential burglary was reported on the 900 block of Auburn Way South, and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Theft: A dog was reported stolen from the 1300 block of 8th Street Northeast at 8:15 p.m.

Aug. 12

Trespassing: Police investigated a trespassing incident on the 100 block of D Street Northwest at 12:14 p.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Burglary: A non-residential burglary was reported at 2:15 a.m. on the 200 block of Auburn Way South, and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Vehicle theft: A vehicle was stolen on the 1100 block of Outlet Collection Way Southwest at 4:14 p.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Aug. 13

Assault: A domestic violence assault in the second degree occurred on 53rd Place South at 1:40 a.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Trespass: A man was arrested for trespassing in the 2300 block of Crockett Drive Northwest at 4:20 p.m.

Vandalism: Police investigated a report of vandalism on 124th Avenue Southeast at 1:20 p.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Aug. 14

Vandalism: A woman was arrested for domestic violence malicious mischief on the 7100 block of Marshall Avenue Southeast at 10 p.m.

Burglary: A residential burglary occurred on the 700 block of 15th Street Northeast between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Assault: Police investigated a simple assault on the 2000 block of F Street Southeast at 9:45 p.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Aug. 15

Drugs: A woman was involuntarily committed to the hospital because she swallowed a lethal amount of narcotics after police found her using drugs on Lake Tapps Parkway Southeast at 10 a.m.

Assault: A woman reported domestic violence involving her boyfriend, and there is no indication police made an arrest in this case.

Drug loitering: Auburn police arrested two people for drug loitering and trespassing on the 100 block of Auburn Way South at 12:20 p.m.

Arson: A vehicle exploded on the 800 block of 2nd Street Southeast at 3:30 p.m. The occupant of the vehicle sustained serious burns and was transported to Harborview Medical Center.

Aug. 16

Burglary: A residential burglary was reported on the 2700 block of Riverwalk Driver Southeast at 12:15 p.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Shoplifting: Police arrested a man for shoplifting on the 4000 block of A Street Southeast at 3:30 p.m.

Assault: A man was assaulted around the 1200 block of A street Northeast at 7:20 p.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Aug. 17

Drug loitering: Police arrested a man for drug loitering on the 200 block of East Main Street at 11:59 a.m.

Shooting: A non-injury shooting occurred by the turnaround on the east side of the Southeast 312th Way Bridge at 9:52 p.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Assault: A domestic violence assault was reported on the 2500 block of I Street Northeast at 11:50 p.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Aug. 18

Bomb: A potential bomb threat was reported on the 1800 block of R Street Southeast at 9:30 a.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.

Vehicle theft: A vehicle was reported stolen from the 3800 block of West Valley Highway at 4:26 p.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made in this case.
