In honor of those who served in war and lost their lives for peace, the annual Veterans Day remembrance and lighting

of the flame ceremony will be held at Veterans Memorial Park and the Auburn’s Veterans Memorial,

located at 411 E St. NE, on Saturday from

10 to 10:30 a.m.

The ceremony takes place prior to Auburn’s 43rd annual Veterans Day parade beginning at 11 a.m.

The ceremony, presented by the American Legion Auburn Post No. 78, with the help of the Inter-Tribal Warrior Society and the City of Auburn, includes patriotic music, an honor guard and a 21-gun salute.

Also featured at Veterans Memorial Park will be an exhibit showcase. Informational booths, antique military vehicles, veteran artwork, displays and exhibits will fill the park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
