City, groups to hold community update meeting on Stewart Road/8th Street projects

The cities of Auburn and Pacific invite the public to join Pacific-area businesses and Auburn’s Citizen’s Trails and Transportation Committee for an update on the contested Stewart Road/8th Street projects.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Lakeland Hills Elementary School gymnasium, 35827 32nd Ave. S, Auburn. An opening presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session. Potential elected officials have been invited to join the discussion.

The meeting is sponsored jointly by the Auburn Transportation, Transit and Trails Committee and the Pacific Economic Development Association. Both committees support the notion that the project is needed for the continued benefit of the stakeholders of the region to travel between home and work and for regional commerce.
