Detectives investigate shooting on SR 18

The victim stated a dark green Ford F-250 or F-350 fired a single shot that shattered the driver’s side window.

Law enforcement are investigating a nighttime shooting that occurred Jan. 15 on State Route 18 in Auburn.

No injuries resulted from the shooting, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Washington State Patrol communications received a 911 call from a victim at approximately 8:10 p.m. Jan. 15, reporting that their vehicle was shot at.

According to the state patrol, troopers contacted and interviewed the victim, driving a semi-truck with a trailer attached. The victim stated a dark green Ford F-250 or F-350 passed as they traveled eastbound on State Route 18 near State Route 167 and fired a single shot that shattered the driver’s side window.

Following the shooting, the suspect vehicle exited to C Street Southwest in Auburn, according to the state patrol.

Washington State Patrol detectives have requested public assistance in finding information on the suspect vehicle and suspect.
