Extended ramp closure hours this weekend in I- 405/SR 167 interchange area

The I-405/SR 167 interchange is one of the most heavily congested interchanges in the state. Through this project, WSDOT will build a new flyover ramp connecting the HOT lanes on SR 167 to the carpool lanes on I-405 in Renton. Drivers who use the I-405/SR 167 interchange in Renton should prepare for an extended ramp closure Saturday night through Sunday morning.

Construction crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation received approval to work slightly longer hours to continue drainage work and some paving work. This work is necessary as part of ongoing construction for the I-405/SR 167 Interchange Direct Connector Project.

This work is weather dependent and subject to change.

Weekend closure:

• Saturday, March 10, to the morning of Sunday, March 11 – The northbound I-405 ramp to northbound SR 167/Rainier Ave. South will be closed from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. A signed detour will be in place.
