The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has confirmed that it will hold a public information meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 26 in Auburn for its new flood insurance maps.

The City is working with the Auburn School District to reserve Cascade Middle School for the meeting, but the location has not yet been finalized.

City officials say the meeting will be significant for north end residents who could be caught up in higher on-going insurance costs, and for north end businesses who can’t expand or construct new buildings because of restrictions.
