responded to 200 calls for service between Sept. 24 and Sept. 28, among them the following:

SEPT. 24

Motor Vehicle accident: 12:30 a.m., (Auburn). Responding to a motor vehicle accident at South 277th and Auburn Way North, Engine 31 and Aid 31 came upon a two-vehicle, “T” bone accident with significant vehicular protrusion damage into the passenger area of one of the vehicles. One of the three patients treated had rib and spinal injuries and required transport to ARMC.

SEPT. 26

Fuel spill: 4:06 p.m., (Lea Hill). Engine 34 responded to a report of a fuel spill on eastbound state Route 18, West of Southeast 272nd Street. VRFA personnel arrived to find a semi spilling fuel from a broken line, so they secured the leak by whittling a wooden door wedge and hammering it into the hole of the fuel tank. Some 50 gallons had spilled on the ground, so personnel dammed up a storm drain to stop any more damage to the environment. The Washington State Patrol, the Department of Transportation, and the Department of Ecology took over the scene. Nobody was hurt.

SEPT. 27

Injury auto accident: 9:17 p.m., (Auburn). Engine 31 and Aid 32 responded to a reported two-vehicle injury collision in the 27700 block of Auburn Way North. Arriving units discovered that the collision had taken place at a slow rate of speed. Personnel identified three patients, transported one to ARMC and turned the scene over to Auburn Police.

SEPT. 28

Sick woman: 6:30 p.m., (Auburn). A vehicle pulled into the parking lot at VRFA Station 32, revealing a woman who had passed out while riding in the car. Crews from Engine 32 and Aid 32 quickly evaluated the woman and found she had poor color and very low blood pressure. A crew from King County Medic One administered Advance Life Support, stabilized the woman and VRFA and King County Medic One crews took her to ARMC for further treatment and diagnosis.

Motor vehicle accident: 10:45 p.m., (Auburn). Engine and Aid 32, Medic 6, and Battalion 31 responded to a motor vehicle collision at the 4400 block of Auburn Way South. A 20-year-old woman had been either thrown, fallen out of, or jumped from a vehicle moving at about 35-40 mph, sustaining severe head injuries along with possible fractures to her pelvis and clavicle. Firefighters and medics treated the woman at the scene, transported her to the Auburn Airport and transferred her to an Airlift Northwest helicopter that brought her to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
