Firefighters respond to a single-vehicle rollover accident underneath Highway 18 | Fire blotter

Between Nov. 2 and Nov. 8, the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 233 calls for service, among them the following:

Nov. 2

Accident: 6:47 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters and King County paramedics evaluated a man who’d been run over by a box truck, and a private ambulance motored him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

Nov. 3

Aid call: 12:45 p.m., (Pacific). Hurrying to a woman who was possibly having a seizure following her test at a COVID testing site, firefighters found her without any signs or symptoms of a seizure, and, as their own evaluation disclosed no negative findings, they let her family take her home.

Nov. 4

Rollover accident: 2:40 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a single-vehicle, rollover accident underneath Highway 18 secured the vehicle, and, as the driver denied any injuries, left him at the scene with his car and the Auburn Police Department.

Nov. 6

Aid call: 8:02 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters responding to an unconscious diabetic found the man had passed away earlier in the night, so they turned the scene over to Auburn Police to arrange for medical examiner transport.

Nov. 7

Aid call: 1:44 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters helped a little girl who was complaining of back pain, and her parents transported her to local urgent care.

Nov. 8

Aid call: 2:20 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responding to a senior citizen who was having abdominal pain from an ongoing treated medical condition found her in need of further care in a hospital setting.
