Future Lions get active, get fit

Elementary schools pull together to launch a fun night for families and kids

Arthur Jacobsen, Hazelwood and Lea Hill elementary schools presented the Future Lions Family Fitness Night on Thursday, Feb. 27 at Auburn Mountainview High School.

Adults and kids took in a fun night of exercise, laughter and learning. There was live entertainment, music and activities, including fitness dance instruction, games and obstacle courses.

Organizations and event partners shared information and resources.

Fitness Night participants included Welnet Fitness Tracking; Molen Orthodontics; Auburn Legacy Martial Arts; American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challege; We Rock the Spectrum Kids Fitness Gym-Federal Way; the Highline Bears Baseball Club; Pioneer Elementary Circus Arts Performance Team; and the American Dairy Council.

Free smoothie and healthy snacks were provided.
